Edward Murphy, dit Eddie Murphy, né le 3 avril 1961 à New York, est un acteur, humoriste, chanteur, scénariste et producteur américain. Il est découvert dans l'émission Saturday Night Live dont il est un membre régulier de 1980 à 1984. Il est largement reconnu comme l'un des plus grands comiques de tous les temps. Il a reçu de nombreuses distinctions telles qu'un Golden Globe, un Grammy Award, et un Emmy Award, ainsi que des nominations aux Oscars et aux BAFTA.
