Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas

Nicholas Jerry Jonas (born September 16, 1992) is an American singer, songwriter and actor. Jonas began acting on Broadway at the age of seven, and released his debut single in 2002; this caught the attention of Columbia Records, where Jonas formed a band with his older brothers, Kevin and Joe, known as the Jonas Brothers. The group released their debut studio album, It's About Time, through the Columbia label in 2006. After leaving Columbia Records and signing with Hollywood Records, the group released their self-titled second studio album in 2007, which became their breakthrough record. The band became prominent figures on the Disney Channel during this time, gaining a large following through the network, and appeared in the widely successful musical television film Camp Rock (2008) and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010), as well as two of their own series, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream (2008–2010) and Jonas (2009–2010).

The band's third studio album, A Little Bit Longer (2008), saw continued commercial success for the group; the album's lead single "Burnin' Up" hit the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following the release of their fourth studio album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times (2009), the Jonas Brothers confirmed a hiatus. Jonas formed a new band known as Nick Jonas & the Administration, who released the album Who I Am in 2010. Afterward, Jonas shifted his focus to acting and had a recurring role on the television series Smash and some Broadway shows roles.

After the group's official disbandment in 2013, Jonas began work on his second solo studio album, signing with Island Records and releasing Nick Jonas through the label in 2014, which saw the commercial success of the single "Jealous". Jonas later co-founded Safehouse Records, a record label in conjunction with the Island and Hollywood labels. His third studio album Last Year Was Complicated (2016) peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. Following the release, Jonas won the Songwriters Hall of Fame's Hal David Starlight Award in 2016. In 2017, Jonas appeared in the adventure comedy film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which became the fifth highest-grossing film of the year. The Jonas Brothers reformed in early 2019, and released the album Happiness Begins in June of that year. Jonas' fourth solo studio album, Spaceman, was released on March 12, 2021.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber

Justin Drew Bieber ( BEE-bər; born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer. Regarded as a prominent figure in contemporary popular music, he rose to fame in the late 2000s with his debut extended play, My World (2009), receiving international recognition and establishing him as a teen idol.

Bieber rose to further fame with his debut album, My World 2.0 (2010), which topped the US Billboard 200 — making him the youngest solo male to do so in 47 years. Its lead single, "Baby" (featuring Ludacris), became one of the best selling singles in the United States, while its accompanying music video became the most disliked video on YouTube. His second album, Under the Mistletoe (2011), became the first Christmas album by a male artist to debut atop chart. Bieber explored dance-pop on his third album, Believe (2012); its acoustic re-release made him the first artist in Billboard history to have five US number-one albums by the age of 18. Bieber explored EDM with his 2015 single "Where Are Ü Now", which won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.

Bieber's fourth album, Purpose (2015), yielded the US Billboard Hot 100 number-ones "Love Yourself", "Sorry", and "What Do You Mean?". The songs monopolized the top three of the UK singles chart, making Bieber the first person to do so. Two of his 2017 guest appearances—on DJ Khaled's "I'm the One" and Luis Fonsi's "Despacito"—reached number one in the US, with the latter tying the then-record for the longest-running number-one song in history (16 weeks). His albums Changes (2020) and Justice (2021) topped the Billboard 200; the latter included his seventh US number-one single "Peaches" and made him the youngest solo act to have eight US number-one albums. Also in 2021, he released his eighth US number-one single, "Stay" (with the Kid Laroi). Bieber's following albums Swag and Swag II were released in 2025.

Bieber is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 150 million units sold worldwide and five diamond certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His accolades include two Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award, eight Juno Awards, two Brit Awards, twenty-six Billboard Music Awards, eighteen American Music Awards, and twenty-two MTV Europe Music Awards (the most wins for any artist). Time named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2011, and Forbes' listed him among the top ten most powerful celebrities from 2011 to 2013. Billboard ranked him the eighth-greatest pop star of the 21st century.

The Weeknd

The Weeknd

Abel Tesfaye (born Abel Makkonen Tesfaye; February 16, 1990), known professionally as The Weeknd, is a Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor. Regarded as an influential figure in popular music, he is known for his light-lyric tenor vocal range and falsetto, alternative R&B sound, and dark aesthetics, as well as the cinematic visuals and storytelling of his music videos. His accolades include 4 Grammy Awards, 20 Billboard Music Awards, 22 Juno Awards, 6 American Music Awards, 3 MTV Video Music Awards, and a Latin Grammy Award.

Tesfaye began releasing music anonymously in 2009. After co-founding the record label XO, he released three mixtapes—House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence—in 2011. He signed with Republic Records to compile the mixtapes into the compilation album Trilogy (2012), before releasing his debut studio album, Kiss Land (2013). Following collaborations and film soundtrack contributions from 2013 and 2014, Tesfaye blended alternative R&B with pop on his second and third studio albums, Beauty Behind the Madness (2015) and Starboy (2016); both debuted atop the US Billboard 200 and featured the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "Can't Feel My Face", "The Hills", "Starboy", and "Die for You".

Tesfaye returned to his alternative R&B sound for his debut extended play (EP), My Dear Melancholy (2018), featuring the US top-ten single "Call Out My Name". He began an album trilogy based on three time points, starting with the dream pop and new wave-inspired album After Hours (2020), which spawned the chart-topping singles "Heartless" and "Save Your Tears", as well as "Blinding Lights"—the best-performing song in the Billboard Hot 100's history and the most-streamed song on Spotify. The trilogy's latter two installments, Dawn FM (2022) and Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025), featured the US top-ten singles, "Take My Breath" and "Timeless". Tesfaye also co-created and starred in the controversial and critically panned HBO drama series The Idol (2023), and made his filmmaking debut in the film Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025).

Tesfaye is one of the best-selling artists of all time with estimated sales of over 75 million units, and has amassed eight diamond-certified singles from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Time named him one of the world's most influential people in 2020. His After Hours til Dawn Tour (2022–2026) set the record for the highest-grossing tour by a male soloist in history. Tesfaye also hosted the Apple Music 1 radio show Memento Mori (2018–2022) and was appointed goodwill ambassador for the World Food Programme in 2021. He has donated to various causes, and advocates for racial equality and food security.
